After 17 years leading the Employee Benefits division of a local insurance agency, Tanya Burns formed her own agency, Tanya L. Burns and Associates, Inc. in 1994. Her educational designations with the American College include the Life Underwriting Training Counsel Fellow (LUTCF), Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) and the Long Term Care Professional (LTCP). Her expertise is such that for the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors she has taught their Disability Income Course. In 2008 the Florida Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors selected Tanya to participate in the Leadership in Life Institute Program. Her national industry awards include: Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), Leading Producers Round Table (LPRT), National Quality Award (NQA), and National Sales Achievement (NSA).

Her professional and community activities include membership in and past Presidency of the Central Florida chapter of Women in Financial Services, Central Florida Association of Health Underwriters, and Central Florida Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. She is also a Board Member of the Alzheimer Resource Center. Her professional and community success record earned her the Jody Walker Award from the Central Florida Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (Community Service), the “Chapter Person of the Year Award” from the Central Florida Association of Health Underwriters, citation as one of “Who’s Who in HealthCare” and was recognized as one of the “Top 100 of Central Florida’s Most Influential People” by the Orlando Business Journal.

An Upstanding and Ethical Licensed Life and Health Insurance Agent for 22 years, Treva Kay joined Tanya L. Burns and Associates in 2005 after 15 years heading the Employee Benefits Department of a local insurance agency. A commissioned Florida Notary Public, she has completed state required Long-Term Care Insurance training, COBRA Certification and is now pursuing LUTCF Designation at American College.
